- The first day of training will cover everything from illegal evictions to discrimination to questions about subsidized housing. H.A.T. is designed for housing advocates from local community organizations (however, clients/consumers welcomed). The Fair Housing Center, Legal Services and Michigan Poverty Law Program will provide a participatory workshop for people at varying levels of knowledge and experience.
- The second day of the training is the “Welfare Policy Seminar”. An attorney from the Michigan Poverty Law Program will provide an overview and update on rules regarding Medicaid, Food Stamps, Work First and FIP.
